Speaker bios
DiAnna Brannan- married to Scott for nineteen years. They have two children, and reside in
Kent,
Washington. They have served in several capacities within the homeschool community.
Currently they serve on the board of a homeschool cooperative, where they both teach. They have also served as legislative
liaisons for their state homeschool group. They are founders of the Christian Homeschool Network of Washington www.chnow.org
Marda
Kirkwood- Marda and her husband have been married for 25 years and have three daughters.
They have homeschooled since 1996. She has been active in the political realm since 1993, running for school board in 1995.
For eight years, she led Citizens united for Responsible Education, CURE, and currently sits on the board. She has testified
before legislative committees numerous times, and has been interviewed on radio and TV concerning education issues. She holds

Pastor
Bryan Pollock- homeschooling father of seen, married to Susan. He is a graduate of
Western Conservative Baptist Seminary, where he obtained a Master of Divinity Degree. He currently pastors Pilgrim Bible Church

Dr. Richard
Seim- he and his wife Shirley have been married for 27 years, they have homeschooled
since 1985. They have eight children and two grandchildren. He is senior pastor of Trinity

ranking republican in the house.. He has two young daughters who attend private school.

Daniel Swecker (R-20)- he and his wife homeschool their four children, along with
running a fish farm. He was elected to the senate in 1996. This year he sponsored the home-based drivers education bill SB6263.
