Annual Homeschool Day at the Capitol Event

Thursday February 25, 2010

Hosted by the Christian Homeschool Network & Christian  Heritage Home Educators of Washington

We will again be offering special presentations with legislative updates, tips on meeting with your legislators, civics for the youth, a message of encouragement for home educators, tour the Capitol and  time to meet with your legislators.

Come and celebrate with us “Under the Dome.”

We will again be meeting “Under the Dome” to celebrate our freedoms and stand united. We will hear from key legislators, present an annual legislator appreciation award, and hear from homeschool leaders, etc.

We also hope to introduce a Resolution in the Senate honoring the hard work of home educators and our success.  In the past home educators have been invited to watch the passing of the Resolution from the gallery-very exciting for the whole family!

 Pre-registration starts November 1, 2009.

NOTE: We suggest large groups of 20 or more contact CHN in January so that we can help to organize a special day for your group along with setting-up meetings with your legislators.

 Annual Apple Pie Surprise

Homeschoolers will be again be surprising their representatives and senators by serving them homemade apple pies!

  • Delighting our government authorities with a unique and delicious gift
  •  Making our presence known to our state legislators and other officials
  • Last year this event was put together in a span of about 8 days. A handful of dedicated families baked and provided approximately 70 pies in that short time. This year, we are starting earlier and are praying for 160 pies—one for each elected official at the Capitol.
  • Would you please consider participating again this year?
  • And would you please encourage other families to join you and sign up now?

Please sign-up at http://saintevents.com/pieregistration.asp

Let’s keep homeschooling alive and well respected by those who represent us in Olympia! Please help us in blessing and praying for those who help pass laws in our wonderful state of Washington.
